The manure was 8 pounds of nitrogen per 1000 pounds available the first year. Put 15/20 ton per acre. We do nitrate test before side dressing. You need several years of manure to get good results and we put 10 gallon of 28% on with the planter. After the first couple years cut the manure rate to keep the p and k under control and the manure will keep breaking down supplying your nitrogen at the lower rate
