Have done it once or twice. Legal? I hope so!! Corp needed additional income, but did not want to move the grain. Sale on paper. Corp claims the income. If memory is correct, sold the grain back to corp later. Not sure on this one. As long as taxes are paid, no trying to avoid the taxes all is legal according to our accountant.
