East Central South Dakota | SAT you cannot compare e-85 with e-15, they are apples and oranges products. e-85 was a product that never really got any market traction and had some issues. e-85 was pushed by Andres out of the old Verasun ethanol companies-----they had a branded product called V-85. Mileage suffered under e-85 and the consumer is too stupid to do the math that it was still cheaper/even $/mile. All they noticed was they had to fill way more often with e-85 and thus the market rejected it. It is for all purposes a dead product.
e-15 is a superior product to gas, e-10 and e-85. Mileage is better and an all round superior product. You should know this as an agricultural producer-- you are about 2 years behind the trend in the market and the trend is e-15 and e-85 is all but dead. |
