Subject: Optimum Nutrient Levels in the Soil

Southern Illinois
Been doing a lot of grid sampling this fall and was wanting to know what everyone's opinion is for what levels you want to see for P,K and S to just apply what the crop removes year to year and also at what levels is it necessary to make an effort to lower Mag levels. This is in Southern Illinois clay-silt loam soils with 2.0-2.5 OM and 8-12 Cation Exchange. PH is all in good shape. Seems like it's hard to build K levels here due to soil type, P can be built and so can S.
