Southeast WI
Strip till is meant to get you a nice mellow place to put the seed. It will be warmer and dryer in that area which is great to get the plant started. It leaves the rest of the soil intact and retains the notill environment with all its benefits of mellow soils - not compacted soils. The reason i finally bought a Pluribus last year is I want to do notill corn on corn on some heavier soils that are poorer drained. I dont own them and will not tile them but I still want to notill them like the rest of my ground. From what I see from this season it looks good.

If you get an 8 row Pluribus you will need rear lift assist wheels with it. My 6 row is almost too heavy for my Case 2290. Dont know its back there until you lift it up!
