Macon, IL | Ive done nothing for 10 years. Hand threw some radishes into crops around field entrances a few years ago. Looked nice but can't say it made a noticeable difference.
This year is the driest fall we have had in my farming career-so ran a paraplow on the end rows and field entrances. Will have to see what it means next year.
Looking at past yield maps I can see the worst areas have a drag-but not that much-maybe 10-15 bushel and that is right at the entrances which really get hammered. Probably less than an acre in a 100 acre field.
