I found in this house that I keep a can of CRC "lectra-motive" around and it fixes most of those boo-boos be it ink, gum, duct tape, glue....... However, my house is not very fancy and all our furniture is recycled from other folks when they no longer want it......so make sure you try it in an inauspicious place before spraying the stuff all around.

Fingernail polish (acetone) could be another avenue.....but it melts some plastic. Don't ask me how I know this....
