A local old fellow had one of those phone tied systems. It all went wrong when he tried to answer a call on his wall mounted phone, he fell backwards with phone receiver in hand. Because he fell with the phone off the hook, his medical alert system could not work because he had the phone off the hook and line was busy.
If that type of system is still in use, it should be connected to a second line. |
