Ridgway, IL | Do you know what the total tonnage produced vs last year is running? I can't seem to find that chart.
I do know that the total tonnage of choice beef is up by about 15k tons in each August and September. But I'm not sure if select production is down an equal amount?
Seems like there is gonna be a real shortage of lean beef in 4th quarter, doesn't seem like we will be able to fill that demand with kill cows and imports... Wonder if that makes select cattle become worth more than choice.... Heck I don't know what's gonna happen. | |
