PROSPECT, TENNESSEE | The very first beans I cut this year were awful. They smelled bad, looked bad, weighed bad, graded fine...go figure. I guess the plant needed them bad enough they just let them in. I guess the cause of them being that way was extreme dryness from R4 on then heavy fogs every morning, darn sure rain didn't rot em, they cut about 26 bu/a average. As far as variety, they have been my best yielding bean in the history of the farm, and the worse. Group III's are notorious for home runs or strikeouts HERE! | |
