Guymon, OK | It's one my favorites, especially for dryland. It might not be the best in every test plot, but it's usually right up there and for us has been a consistent high-yielder. It works well under irrigation, too, but it gets fairly tall so it will lodge with a lot of fertility and water. It is susceptible to stripe rust. Not knowing your location, I'll just say that it's adapted for the Western Plains. | |
