Lancaster, OH | Gotta tell this one:
I was traveling around Ft Wayne about 8:00 one morning and called a retired friend there to see how he was. He was traveling from a trip and said, "Why don't you stop by and check on my wife."
I said, "I just left there and, by the way, you're out of peanut butter."
He was stumped a moment before he laughed but the story doesn't end there.
Had a meeting with him a few weeks later and he told me he got home and was sitting on the couch with his wife at about 8:00 pm.
She said, "Have you had any dinner?" "No," he said to which she replied, "I'm sorry but I haven't been to the grocery and I think we're even out of peanut butter."
