Subject: Electric Break Controler

Eastern Ohio
When I hooked my stock trailer up this week end and adjusted the senativity control for trailer breaks they seemed fine, on the way home I noticed that the color indicator (witch is normally green with no breaks applied was greenish/orange.) Tried to adjust but it seemed that the higher senitivity I turned the breaks were being applied (as I was sitting). Turned them off for the trip home, stopped for gas and tried to adjust again and the controler was working fine for about a mile then started to softly apply breaks on trailer. The plug is fine as all the lights are working properly. Are my trailer breaks shot or do I have controler problem?
