Elizabethtown,KY | Debbie, my wife Dianna had surgery on her right thumb and wrist on the 27th, she had a lot of arthritis in the thumb joint, the outside bone in her arm was too long causing it to rub something in the wrist. They cut the bone in 2 in the middle and took out a small piece, and put it back together with a plate and 7 screws.
She got her splint off yesterday morning and a cast put on which she will wear for 4 weeks, then it comes off and she gets a splint for 2 more weeks after that. She also had tendon damage in the wrist that he worked on.
She has been having a lot of trouble getting comfortable at night more so than during the day. She slept in a recliner until about 4 or 5 days ago, and has really struggled since coming back to bed. | |
