We pulled every other wire on the 1st concave on a 1480. Some pull every other wire on all three concaves.(may not be an issue in 100BPA corn)

I also, don't think the rice spike bars will be an issue. If you have grp 4 soys they might be. We cut the spikes off a 2188 with a plas cutter and are now in the process of balancing.(don't cut rice)
