NE KS | Its hard to take results from the previous year because every year seems to be way different than the year before as far as weather is concerned. In that last 4 years we've had the worst drought we ever had, to flooding but still raising "normal crops", then raising the best crops we've ever had, and finally the most rain fall ever recorded in a 1 month period and everything planted late. How do you make decisions based off of that weather pattern?
You still have to fertilize, get a good stand, and plant a hybrid that works well but in our area we are still much dependent on mother nature. In those previous 4 years I've picked corn that's made between 20 bpa and 230 bpa all planted alike.
