Southwest Illinois | I won't bash either program but your post makes a ton of sense, unfortunately sometimes cents get in the way of sense.
I have a couple friends who have started using LL and it isn't working much better for them either. They think they are going to work the ground and plant the beans without residual and hope one trip of Liberty will clean them up. In a year like this when spraying was postponed because of rain the weeds and beans just got too big and the results were still not what they wanted. I do like the idea of a Liberty program if you use Roundup post in corn as it keeps you from spraying Roundup all the time which is what created the resistance. Unfortunately I see the same problems ultimately developing with dicamba and 24D if we get in the habit of spraying it all the time. I think everyone learned that a straight Roundup program in corn wouldn't work so I am not sure why anyone would have expected it to work in beans.
