Subject: RE: Lowering corn population

South Dakota
Iowa state looked at this a few years ago and found that optimum population in a true flex ear, not semi flex, was less than 25k. I'll shut up and color if you want, but I know people that get phenomenal yields at low pop with flex ear. We all know that the only people that look at this with out a vested interest in us planting more seed are universities. There's only been a little research on this by disinterested third parties. On farm research has led to many innovations.
