NE Indiana-Fort Wayne and NE China | I know an operation in SW INdiana that is now out over 30 years with continuous beans. Still no disease or nematode issues. No covercropping. Pretty long term to see if it'll work I'd say. Keeps the taxes paid/gives at Church every Lord's Day/drives a nice car and owes no man but to love him. Sweet and simple.
That said I think the climate and soils you work with have a lot to do with your propects of planting a lot beans or only beans. I would be much more tempted if I had cereal rye under the crop. I would roll it down and drop the chemical program back to early application of Prowl if that. |
