Subject: RE: wire connections

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Since the wires likely just contain 12V and ground when the switch is activated I guess I'd go by trial & error. I don't think hooking them up incorrectly will cause any damage.

Since there are 3 choices for the first connection, then two choices for the next connection and only one choice for the third connection there should be a total of 3 x 2 x 1 = 6 total choices.

I would make a list and try the choices systematically until you hit the correct combination. Then mark them someway such as using various colored tie bands.

Here would be an approach. Connect the pair with Green/Brown to S1. Connect the other two to S2 & S3. If that's incorrect switch S2 & S3. If that's incorrect connect the Green/Brown pair to S2. Connect the other two to S1 & S3. If incorrect swap S1 & S3. If still incorrect connect the Green/Brown to S3 and the other two to S1 & S2. If incorrect swap S1 & S2. You should now have covered all possible combinations.
