| I raised 3 hogs last summer/fall and ended up slaughtering them by myself. I chunked one hog up put in freezer bags to be mixed with venison and other various meats, sold some to a hunting buddy for his venison. The other hog and a half ( I gave half of a hog to the inlaws.) I had processed and they charged me $250, to cut, smoke and package a hog and a half. I took it to them frozen, I had the skin off and all cleaned and what not. It probably wasn't the most efficient slaughter process, but I wanted to learn and you gotta start somewhere. | |
