I have a cover crop that is mostly milo. It's getting ready to start heading out. It's loaded with aphids. If I kill the milo with glyphosate will the aphids die or will they move in to the real milo field right next to it. I'm getting ready to spray the regular milo for the 2nd time this week for aphids. Any one knowledgeable about this.
This has been my observation. When we sprayed a field of milo that was ready to desiccate for harvest and had aphids in it the glyphosate did not work well at all on killing the milo. You could tell it had been sprayed but that was about it. If its "loaded with aphids" as you say I don't think you will have complete success in killing the milo. As far as the aphids moving to your real milo I don't think they will in large numbers just because the other plants will not die. |
