Great Pyrenees= solution.  Used to have coyotes running through my yard all the time, day and night. Now I have to listen close to even hear a coyote. Old Jake is starting to get old (13 years) but when he goes there will be another to replace him if I'm still around. He does sleep most of the day but at night he is roaming the farm. He spends a lot of time near the chicken coop but will also wander around the cattle. Never looks up at the quail or doves, however he will treat himself to a rabbit every now and then.
