Subject: RE: wind insurance ?

Wind damage 2 weeks before tasseling would be covered with the type of insurance that I sell. The wind coverage starts at the 7th leaf stage. Probably the best wind policy you
can buy is a rider with Production Hail -- this puts all your hail (and wind) on top of your Fed Crop, as Newguy said there is a 5% qualifier (not a deductible) on the wind -- hail has
no qualifier. As an exp. if your APH is 180 and with 80% Fed Crop and 120% Production Hail your hail and wind protection would be from 144 (Fed coverage level) to 216 (120% X
your APH), giving you 72 bushels of protection on top your Fed Crop -- so if your yield comes in at 130 or 140 as you said -- your hail/wind would be paid out at 100%.

Please e-mail me if you like.

Spring price is used on per bu. price ( 4.15)
