blairsville,pa | I actually didn't get any northern at home where the plot is until recently . Grey leaf spot, what looks like anthractnose (sp) and some form of rust in spots came around tassel.
I'm curious to see how they weigh up. Walking the plot the Augusta is by far the most impressive looking. I'd say the Dekalb will be at the bottom of the pack. It acted like it was deficit in N all year, was the first to fire when we got dry. We are about 2 weeks ahead on gdu's for area. I'm Truthfully suprised how well they all finished considering our conditions this season. Looking at the tip back of several of the varieties I probably should of planted them all at 34K. I'll report moisture, TW, kernel size, and yield when we take it off.
