Subject: A note to Scott Walker's boys in Wisconsin.

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow

At the risk that this might be interpreted as too political (which it's not meant to be), some of you Wisconsin soybean producers need to send a message to Scott Walker about his recent attack on China. He seems to be trying to score political points with the conservatives by blaming all our problems on China. The Chinese have been pretty good customers for our soybeans and we want them to continue to be. Now the Chinese are people and just like people everywhere they can become resentful if somebody unnecessarily speaks ill of them.
And besides, what is his complaint, that they mismanaged their economy? Isn't that exactly what happened here when our government didn't properly supervise bank lending and derivatives trading just a short few years ago. And to be honest, that little fiasco had far more deleterious effects on the world economy than the Chinese problem will have. Our bank crisis actually caused a worldwide banking crisis & economic slowdown from which much of the world hasn't recovered from yet.
It seems to me that it would be wise for us just to keep our opinions to ourselves, hope they get their affairs in order and be ready to resume sales when they are ready to buy.
For what it's worth.
