70 cents would cover the costs of gain - yardage, feed, vet, med, miscellaneous (yardage would cover facilities, labor, management, fuel, utilities, repairs, maintenance, etc).  Interest is a cost of ownership and risk management is a marketing cost.  With interest included the breakeven would be 1.29, so I'd still buy all that I can.
