We have gone to only spring strip till here with less than half the N going on preplant and the rest at side dress. I used to fall apply NH3 but found I lost too much. It depends on how much CEC your soil has as to how much N it can hold, and also the potential for leaching. My soil is low in CEC so I have learned to spoon feed it. You should be able to put on all your P and K in the fall but I would caution against putting all your N on for 220 bu corn. JMHO
