McLeod County, MN | So much for posting this. I was gonna get some pictures and post the same thing. I have a lot of damage from the dirty SOB's too, but you hardly ever see them. I seriously think they have easily taken 3-5 BPA, and its probably more. Seems like there are 10 kernels missing on about every third plant in some places. Very frustrating way to lose crop. Mostly black birds, but last time I was in the field the barn swallows were bombing me as well.
The ear rot is fusarium I believe, but I have seen plenty of it on ears that aren't damaged as well. | |
