southern MN | Yea I know. A few years ago they took I-90 across southern MN and determined we had bumper crops in all of Minnesota. Meanwhile, that was one of my worst years......
I know.
A person gets pretty defensive when that happens. Want to knock some teeth out, doesn't anyone understand......
I know.
But it is what it is, and you and others get a chance to say your side of things here.
That offers some parity at least?
It will be interesting how this sorts out as we get to harvest. Typically the south has ok crops, and by the time we get to Minnesota it doesn't matter, the market already made up its mind and doesn't care what our nothern yields are. They react to those of you farther south.
This year it seems the farther south the worse the crop, as harvest starts will the market gasp in horror at what is actually out there?
And then, if we get into better crops up north will things readjust some, or react like a roller coaster first slope?
A little bit of a different setup this year, wonder where it will go.
