SW WI | SW WI, over 2 days my rain total is .9 inch. Very grateful for that, wishing we could of gotten more. You can tell some of us WI guys have been whining about being dry. A month ago we were looking at a "wow" type of crop. It will still be a very good crop just not off the charts.
Talking with my wife we were reminiscing about how long it's been since we had an all day rain in August. Last year was spotty showers, just enough, and a good crop. 2013 was a flash drought, 2012 was, well, 2012 and 2011 was also dry in August.
I was working in a shed and the rain sounded great. I knew by looking at radar that we wouldn't be getting a lot, and it sounded better than it actually was. I'll take it, it still was a good day. | |
