Subject: RE: Rain and Windrowed Hay

western WI
That hay doesn't look like it was damaged very much. We had cut some last Monday, soaking wet from a 2" rain last Sunday. Raked it Wednesday (hay was spread out) Thursday was humid and mostly cloudy, raked it again. Baled Friday afternoon on the lighter soils part of field. Reraked the heavier end of field, Saturday noon in order to get that baled. Hay was just like an old rag underneath. So much dew and fog in the mornings and was extremely humid. Luckily, they were wrong on last nights forecast. They were calling for 1-3 and up to localized 6 inches with flood watches up.......I don't think their was enough rain to clean a windshield. Is it just me, or when they get it wrong, its almost laughable? and getting more frequent.
