Subject: RE: Whats a good tax computer program?

Findlay, OH
i use quickbooks. it is a very nice program, and fairly easy to use. i would suggest going to your account or maybe a local college and see if there are any classes offered to train you the proper way to use it. The more detailed you are when you enter the information into the system, the more detailed and helpful the reports will be when you generate them. I use it to track multiple things for my taxes, one being farm income/expenses, the other being income/expenses for my crop insurance business. can run reports detailing either side, or a combined number for overall tax purposes. when i started using it, the accounting firm i use had someone who specialized in quickbooks for farm use, so i sat down with them for half a day and went through all of the categories that they would like to see me use for expenses/income, and we even added a few that i wanted for a more detailed approach. overall i'm happy with it, although i don't keep up with the entries like i should.
