It is roundup ready. I'm sure it would grow there, plant it early as it needs cool weather to polinate. However, I'm not sure if birds like it. In our yard we always have a little of about every type of grain you can think of spilled somewhere. The birds pick thru everything except canola. I would have thought birds would love it, but they seem to avoid it.
