Subject: RE: How does people like their Cat track tractors?

West Central Iowa
I have had a 55 for the last 3 years and it works great for me. Also have an 8940 mfd that I use to pull the same implements. I pull a 1465 earthmaster, a 25 foot RMX 340, and a 32 foot TM200 field cultivator. So far the Cat is superior in almost every condition. The main reason I like it is the smoother ride doing tillage in the spring. I really don't understand the rough riding comment. If you want a rough ride, get in the 8940 in the spring on a fall tilled field. Then get in the Cat on the same field and you won't want to get back in the mfd. No comparison. Mine only has 4100 hours on it and hasn't had any major problems yet.
