There was a post, during wheat harvest, about wheat quality.
A couple of the responses indicated planting a blend of wheat varieties to reduce head scab.
It was mentioned that was done years ago, before fungicides, with some success.
The idea was to plant a tall variety blended with a short variety.
This allowed more air space between heads, thus slowing the spread of Fusarium.
Does this work?
Should maturities be blended also or should they be the same maturities?
