Subject: RE: Drones

I just bought one.

I enjoy it so far, but it is already quite clear to me that I'm going to have to be disciplined about using it to extract the value out of it. I think there is a lot of value to be extracted out of it, don't get me wrong. I just think that it's inconvenient to do so and I already have a busy life. One more thing, you know?

I have a Phantom III Professional. It is a breeze to use. I would imagine DJI is like the Apple of UAV's. There is another up and coming brand that sounds like it's more like the Droid of Drones. It's the 3D Robotics Solo. Maybe not quite as polished and as easy, but more options. As I understand it, it's designed to be able to attach different stuff to it other than just a camera. More upgradeable over time. Perhaps will be more viable 3 years from now than the DJI.

For what I do, I imagine the DJI Phantom III Pro will be more than adequate.
