Doubtful that moldboard will destroy roots. After all, roots will still be buried in the soil , just moved around some, ready to grow again. How much area or acreage is infested? Spot spray with 2% (or stronger if you like) Glyphosate solution always killed it dead for me in grassland hay fields. New grass always grew and refilled underneath the dead canopy of dogbane, without reseeding. Dogbane in full grown corn, I know, is different scenario. You just can't walk right up to the spots of dogbane easily and hand spray it. Perhaps it is time to rotate to RR soybeans next year, where you can find the dogbane spots easier so spots or entire field could be sprayed. DO NOT let the darned stuff go to seed. It has little fluffy seeds easily blown great distances by wind. Good luck.
