Glad you had success thanks for posting the follow up too.

I sent my idea to 3M about self contained MP3 hearing protection sounded like they were not too interested unless it was a patented idea already.

Also sent it to Dewalt. It's being forwarded to the proper division so we will see what sort of response that gets.

There are such devices made but they don't offer the noise/ hearing protection and full ear coverage I am looking for.

I can't believe all these safety oriented places can't grasp the concept of a dangling cord connecting a MP3 player to headphones as being a safety hazard.
