southern nebraska | good for you. we cut hay on wednessday late afternoon and baled it this afternoon, looks like it will be the last cutting. Almost got the cement wet tonight.
This is getting serious, on the verge of a good crop and no crop. cracks in the ground are an 1" wide and you can see at least 8" down. I think we can handle a 5"er with little to no run off. Quit honestly I don't know how this corn is still hanging on, a few ears starting to drop but most still upright and green. Anywhere a truck was parked last fall there is nothing but crusty corn plants | |
