There are several solid stands of Marestail going to seed here. The hills have definitely been dry enough to have been mowed off, so it makes me wonder what's going on. Either way, it makes my skin crawl just looking at them. 

I mowed off a small field across the fence from me just to keep it from spreading across the fence. The number of doves, quail, and other birds I flushed out of it made me wonder how far they would have been carrying seed.
