We cut our 90' boom down to 80' to allow 24" trams for sideressing corn and spraying beans. Not even noticeable for efficiency as alot of the time you only have to make one extra pass with the 80' boom. works awesome.

Edit: planter and sidedresser are both 40', sprayer is 80. corn head is 12 row 20" and works out that combine is always on one tramline so as little ground as possible is being run over to aid in compaction prevention.
