Subject: Holstein Feed Question

Mid Mo
I have 10 Holstein steers that avg 200 in mid June. Currently eating 10 pounds per day corn/pellet mix at 16% with access to about 2 acres fescue/clover mix - mostly fescue.

They are on a small self feeder and I would like to use a 2 ton feeder I already have.

Will I need to worry about the feed getting stale if I fill a 2 ton? What % feed would be best since it will be there a bit?

How big should these guys be if I hold them until first of January? I'm not set up to keep them too big, but would like to hold them for a bit.

Thanks
