In walnuts where I used to work, we would hedge the trees to open up the canopy and bring in more sunlight. I don't know about hedging almonds we just always pulled them out to plant walnuts. But I would think if you had hedged almond rows and say a trimble system with Rtk and xfill I think that would work depending on row lengths.

If you had a spot where you couldn't get satellite signal xFill could elevate some issues there.
