Back when we cultivated standing corn, "cultivator blight" took down corn if we didn't drive accurately enough. It wouldn't be hard to move the row shovels to over lap the corn stalks and make a pass with the shovels just above the ground. Won't take much power either, if you can find a cultivator to do that with.
