Subject: Gravity table vs grain cleaner?

northeastern Ohio
I had a 1000 bushel truckload of wheat that was low test weight (50#). I ran it through my DMC HiCap 40 grain cleaner and removed approximately 20 bushel. Test weight went up to 52#, which was still not enough to make grade (54# is the minimum today). Anything below 54# is automatically docked $1.75 before any other dockage is taken.

My question: Anyone using a gravity table to bring up the test weight? If so, how many bushel would need to be removed to bring 50# wheat up to 54#? I'm trying to figure if a gravity table would pay for itself in this situation.

For example: if I sold 1000 bu of 50# wheat for $3, I net $3000. If I remove 100 bushel to bring the test weight up to 56# and sell 900 bu for $4.75 I would net $4275. I can compost the 100 bushel and spread it with my manure.
