Subject: RE: how about leaving corn stubble more intact for no-till beans?

I run my Deere 643 Corn Head as high as possible. Last couple of years had some extremely tall corn, everyone was worried and hyped about all that residue, I had no intentions to chop or VT. Planted very nice for beans the following Spring, only issue I had was more debris that entered my row unit chains, but not a lot of problem, I will fab up a small deflector for next year and problem should pretty much be resolved. Kinze 3600 Twinline, both 15" rows in between the 30" cornstalks . It does / can make bean harvest a little more dirty with the previous year debris, but nothing that cant be cleaned up with the combine. Also I think if cereal rye is drilled or planted for cover, it works even better, my 2 cents.
