The picture at the top of the thread has thick succulent, rubber-like leaves, where pigweeds of all kinds, prostrate, red-root, palmer amaranth, tall waterhemp, have thin leaves. Also darker green and prominent veins.
Oh and purslane leaves also have a very short, almost non-existent petiole. Pigweed leaves have longer petioles.
May be some confusion in names. Apparently purslane is called Pig Weed in some regions.
