Our experience in two different years is like Dave said above.

What we found the last time is that Deere's Row Sense works great in these situations...just find the right row at the end, hit "resume", and let it go. We had to stop and back up once every round or two when it would jump a row, but worked lots better than trying to follow those rows manually.

We have about 2-300 acres in same situation this year....Hail and high winds about 2 weeks ago flattened it and shredded leaves. Most has "goosenecked" up, and is now just ready to tassel. I think it will be ok.
