Baskin, Louisiana
How bout dem dawgs! Baskin is 15 miles south of I-20 and a few miles east of Monroe. Near Winnsboro. My oldest son went to La. Tech. As for the beans, this field is notorious for making tall beans due to the chicken litter we put on it. They generally run a little above the belt, but the hot spots will hit your armpits. This variety is fairly new and was supposed to be a bit shorter and bushier, but it doesn't seem to be working out that way. Yields have been excellent though, with lows (white dirt fields) around 40 and highs around 70 in the better soil. They are irrigated but haven't needed it so far.
